Breachstorm promised the coming of the Volucrid to their wargame and they have now delivered. There are two new kits that you can get your hands on for this Sci-Fi wargame. And, you can either go for a physical miniature OR a set of STL files which is neat!

Volgox Howler - Breachstorm

Volgox Howler // Breachstorm

Leading the way is the Volgox Howler which is a monstrous and many-limbed beast. Here is some more background on these creatures...

"While the innumerable hordes of a Volucrid hive's Volgox workforce are individually weak, not all members of that genus are so simple. Ordering their cousins to battle with shrieking sprays of aerosolized command pheromones, Volgox "Howlers" are powerful organisms able to direct their subordinates and drive them into a raging frenzy."

As mentioned, this Howler miniature (which is looking rather impressive) comes in either resin or STL format for you to choose from.

Following on behind the Howler, we also have the Crawlers which don't look quite so lithe as their alien cousin above.

Volgox Crawlers - Breachstorm

Volgox Crawlers // Breachstorm

Here is your fluffy dollop of lore for the Crawlers to sink your teeth (and fangs and everything else in between) into...

"Upon planetfall, Volucrid progenitor ships or delivery spores disgorge millions of organisms to explore and mine their new home. Acting as the backbone of this workforce; Volgox "Crawlers" are some of the most numerous Volucrid organisms, spawned in great numbers to serve as all-purpose workers that maintain and defend their hives."

These miniatures are looking rather cute in the weirdest way possible I guess. I like the look of them lunging forward to snag whatever is in front of them, ready to drag it down into whatever hole they emerged from.

Again, these miniatures are available in resin or as STL files.

What do you make of these darn bugs that need zapping?
