The Castellans are able to issue orders, as you might have guessed, but they also extend re-rolls to all of the Core troops that are nearby. It seems like you're going to want a few of these Castellans dotted around larger forces, keeping everyone in line.
Castellans are a versatile addition to your Astra Militarum force and can be armed with a good selection of weapons. Bolters, Power Swords, Chainswords and Plasma Pistols are all in the mix alongside some neat options for heads and such as well.
Cadian Castellans Alternative // Warhammer 40,000
The Astra Militarum have had a seriously big upgrade when it comes to this new set of releases. I don't think I've seen a miniature (bar the Commissar) that I've not liked. A lot of the rank and file look brilliant and this new Castellan ticks a bunch of boxes too.
Do you reckon you're going to be adding the Castellan to your collection to bolster your Astra Militarum in battle?

Fantastic new commander’s.
They need bigger hats!
Nice minis BUT……..can the sculptors at GW design a miniature where it’s NOT in a “foot on rock” pose? 😀
Well these are Cadians so they probably brought a piece of their palent with them, you know after it blew up 😉
Would be a nice figure if it wasn’t for the stupid foot on rock lazy sculpting pose. Nice to see the much more realistic proportions in this range though.
Those look really nice.
I love the fact that the ‘speaker-skull’ has a hat and the ogre looks like he’s about to skewer the Castellan
