About the Project

I have been fascinated by the SOE for a long time and when I read about Grey for Now Games 02 Hundred Hours I knew I had to get this game, it arrived about a week ago. Having read the rules and watched many battle reports on YouTube it dawned on me that this game would also work brilliantly for playing out missions in Achtung! Cthulhu. My plan is to build and paint up a core set covering all the options in the rulebook, and to start playing as soon as I have a minimum force completed. The SAS and operatives are being inspired by one of my favourite books "The Next Moon" by Andre Hue who was a SOE agent attached to a group of French SAS working with the Maquis in preparation for D Day. A fantastic book that reads like a Boys Own story, they even have a preacher administering to their needs from the back of an armed jeep. I will then start to build characters and troops from Achtung! Cthulhu, i will be converting as many of the models as possible using the 02 Hundred Hours SAS and Germans along with some Wargames Atlantic French Resistance and possibly some Frostgrave cultists as well as my bits box. I will also create rules and cards for this expansion.

About 2 weeks ago I ordered 02 Hundred Hours, I have read the rules and watched as many battle reports as I could find on YouTube, this looks to be a fantastic game and I cannot wait to have enough models painted to try out my first games.

Whilst waiting for my order to arrive I started to paint up a couple of old models that had been sitting in my plastic piles. I had a 15cwt truck built and undercoated as well as an unassembled SAS Jeep, both from Rubicon, as soon as the box arrived, I built 6 SAS and painted them.

I am sorry no works in progress, I will save that for the next batch I have just assembled 10 Heer and 6 more SAS, this should give me all the options I need to play the game. I still have 5 more Germans which are going to be built as Feldegendarmes later. I am saving the greatcoated Germans to convert to Black Sun Troopers for the Achtung Cthulhu setting, I will have a preview painted in my next post.

Sorry but I seem to have had an attack of the “Gerry’s” whilst taking some of the photos.
