Rubicon Models' 1/56th Scale Vietnam War range is going to be getting updated in the near future with even more troops finding their way deep into the jungle. The latest focus has been shifted towards the ANZACs and a new selection of Infantry and Command figures.

The most recent selection of previews included the Command Squads that you're going to be able to use in your games. Australian and New Zealand-based troops are going to be battling alongside the Americans, securing vital objectives, villages and supply lines.

There are some solid options for you to pick from here with soldiers on the blower calling in support, some at ease and others aiming down the sights, keeping an eye on the movements of the enemy. I think this is a nice, dynamic new selection of miniatures that support the ANZACs. It's nice to see a lot of focus shifting towards these Commonwealth countries that you didn't see often in miniature form a few years ago.

These Command Squads are then going to be leading a new selection of Infantry that have been previewed over the last few weeks...

You get a bunch of weapon options to choose from although things could change as they tweak and update the kits. You get loads of soldiers for one thing and each of them can be equipped as Scouts, Riflemen and Gunners. That means (as you can see above) M16s, F1 SMGs, SLR and M79 and M60 and 21C special weapons.

Could you be tempted to pick up some of these new ANZAC miniatures when they become available?
