Games Workshop has previewed two more Praetor miniatures for those looking to pick up an army of Death Guard for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. You get two flavours to choose from, both with various options to make them unique.

Leading the way we have a heavily armoured Praetor who is wearing powerful and probably quite ancient Cataphractii Armour. The idea with this particular miniature is that it simply just wades through oncoming firepower and scythes through those in the front lines.

Armed with a massive axe, this fellow certainly gives off a "mighty" vibe. I do like the idea of using him as a Loyalist Death Guard warrior actually, perhaps striving to keep his small band of followers from being utterly overwhelmed by the Traitor Death Guard.

Talking of traitors, we have another Death Guard Praetor that isn't clad in terminator armour but comes armed with an iconic scythe.

I think the scythe works very nicely as a signal of this fellow being a traitor. The mask and the addition of more chainmail also just rings "bad guy" to me.

I do like the helmet option for the Death Guard Praetor here as well. Whilst I've made a little bit of a distinction here between Loyalist and Traitor, I think you could easily make either of these fit the mould.

Both of these miniatures will be coming soon from Forge World and whilst they have been earmarked for The Horus Heresy, these would also work well when included in Warhammer 40,000 forces too!

Are you tempted by these Praetors?
