40K Leagues Of Votann Army Set Pre-Orders Live This Weekend

Games Workshop is going to be firing up the pre-orders for their latest faction to arrive in Warhammer 40,000 this weekend. The Leagues Of Votann Army Set can be snapped up, giving you a head start on building your armies of Space Dwarfs.

I'm sure the Leagues would baulk at the idea of being labelled as Space Dwarfs of course. Whilst I am rightly written into some book of grudges somewhere for that, we'll have a peek at what's inside the set. Leading the way are two characters.
You can build one of the miniatures (left) as a Khal or instead as Ûthar, The Destined if you prefer. The second miniature is the Einhyr Champion, giving you another hefty HQ option for your games.

Accompanying these heroes into the heart of the fighting, the Army Set also gives you two core Troop choices. You'll get two sets of ten Hearthkyn Warriors to use although they could also be built as one big unit of twenty if you prefer.

The set comes with a band of Leagues Of Votann warriors alongside their mechanical companions, the Ironkin. They can be armed with some seriously deadly weapons that have been forged in their hidden vaults.
Following on from the Troops, we also have some Fast Attack options. Three Hernkyn Pioneers are going to be zooming around the tabletop, laying down covering fire and securing objectives. They will probably be using their firepower to blast foes off objectives too.

All of these miniatures can't be used without a Codex. Well, this Army Set will come with the limited edition full art version of Codex: Leagues Of Votann.

Inside, you'll find all of the information that you'll need for running the Leagues Of Votann on the tabletop. You'll find full rules for each unit, their leaders, Strategems and Relics. To help with remembering all of that, you'll also find a set of accessories within the Army Set as well.

The Accessories include a large Transfer Sheet which will be handy for your infantry and vehicles. You'll also find a sheet of Grudge & Judgement Tokens which are key to how the Leagues Of Votann commanders work. There will also be a pack of Datacards featuring all of your Stratagems and Psychic Powers (safe ones at that).
If you don't get your hands on the Army Set when it goes on pre-order this weekend, have no fear. The miniatures, Codex and Data Cards will all be available separately later on down the line during the Leagues Of Votann's official launch.

I like the troops not sure of the hoverbikes but.
Over all not bad looking army.
I have seen the price of this set online and frankly I was taken back buy how cheap it was for the set. Sadly for me I have no interest in the army it is very nice but I frankly dont have the time to start a new army at this point.
Oddly while we have had a lot of talk about this range and some people excited the number of people who confirmed they are buying this box is pretty low. It is pretty difficult for stores to know where the market is right now.
