Looking through the Warlord Games open day video on youtube I noticed 2:44 in the video a very clear nod with the book ABC Warriors. Now they would not just leave that book out or keep it in the video if this did not suggest they had firm plans to release minis for it.

For those not aware the ABC warriors was a comic strip featured in the 2000 AD comic. While the other characters such as Dredd, Rogue Trooper and Slaine have had countless cross overs in films, video games and table top games. The ABC Warriors have never had much limelight. Aside in that one in Sylvester Stallone’s film which was perhaps the best part of the whole movie.

As a kid I was a big fan of the ABC warriors and hoped one day we might get a film or something to feature them. Well Finally a part of that dream might be coming true if we do get minis for them.

It is still early days but I think I am still allowed to get a little excited about a release.

(Is it just me or is the website really slow and buggy lately)

Listening to the Q&A, at about 11:30 they start talking about the 2000 AD liscence.
    TLDR Version:
    1) Must do something every year that ISNT Judge Dredd
    2) Dredd has an Expansion coming
    3) First ABC Warriors minis have been sculpted
    4) Strontium Dog is pretty much done

The really nice thing about 2000AD though is that there is just so MUCH choice for doing smallish-games that would fit within a years release schedule for the minis. ABC Warriors, Rogue Trooper, Nikolai Dante, VC’s, Sinister Dexter, the list could go on, and on, and on…..
