Queen Games Lay Powerlines With New Gamefound Project
September 7, 2022 by brennon
Powerline is a brand new board game from Queen Games which builds on their Green Planet line. Designed by Dirk Henn, this is another of their games that looks to promote a bright vision of the future and minimise its environmental impact during its production. Pretty neat!
Powerline // Queen Games
In Powerline, you will be playing out sixteen game rounds of dice rolling. During gameplay, dice will be placed in various spots on the central board and can be taken by players to build their power lines stretching across their own player boards.

You'll have to have a good think about how to use the dice from the main board as you can only use a certain number of dice a fixed amount of times. Dice may also be skipped but you'll also end up taking penalties for that! So, it's all about planning and making good choices as you build your power lines across the board.
During the game, there will also be three game objectives that you'll want to work towards. These will give you a little boost and let you know who is coming out on top! Players will also gain points for power lines completed at the end of the game and fully connected cities. Uncompleted power lines will make you lose points!
This game plays with between one and six players and I like that the dice are going to mean that there is always some interesting puzzle to solve. This will certainly make a good solo game I reckon! If you're interested in the game, the rules are available HERE and you can check out the Gamefound Project as well!
