Victrix Games Preview Their New 12mm Soviet Tanks
August 24, 2022 by brennon
The folks at Victrix Miniatures have been showing off some of the new vehicles that they have coming to their 12mm World War II collection. The focus shifts from the US, Germans and the British to the Soviets and their tanks.
12mm T34 Renders // Victrix Miniatures
Some early renders popped up for their 12mm (1/144th) scale T34 Tanks that are going to be rolling across battlefields and pushing their way through streets filled with rubble. The set will come with options for making the T34/85 as well as the T34/76 with bonus options for the chKZ cast turret. I will pretend I know what all of that meant.
12mm T34 Sprues // Victrix Miniatures
The sprues (above) will also feature spoked and dish versions of their wheels meaning that you can get pretty darn authentic with the tanks used for specific battles. As you'll have noted with the preview at the top of the page, the kit will also work well with tank commanders and tank riders.
We have seen the folks at Victrix tinkering with the Soviets for a little while now but it's good to see some of the iconic vehicles now rolling out onto the tabletop. Here's hoping that we get to see a lot more of these 12mm Soviets over the next few months.
Are you going to be checking these out when they release?

A fantastic looking set of figures an vehicles for games.
These look very nice . Not my scale but at $33 Canadian on their website for 6 tanks I just might have to get a box or two . I just love T-34s
12 mm ?
Why ?
How the heck does that scale compared to the 1:100 (15mm?) scale FoW and others are using ?
It’s an impressive amount of detail at such a tiny scale that’s for sure.
Question here is if it’s six sprues or just three in a box? It looks like there’s enough parts to make two tanks from a single sprue (just not of the same variant), as with the previous tank sprues. If they are giving you just three sprues you can’t make all six of them T34/85s for example (oe all the tank with the later period spoke wheels). Victrix will need to clarify things a bit more before putting them up for sale (although I presume they will be sold in Victrix’s usual clear plastic bag so if you are buying… Read more »
Such a great deal! I’ve been itching to get into WW2.
It’s not a bad scale once you give it a try. I like Battlefront miniatures and think that what they have done in the past few years moving over to plastics has been really good. I’ve got and will still get FoW 15mm kits. They are fun to build and paint. But I just don’t like playing FoW in 15mm, especially the massed amoured clumps. 10mm works better, but with not as much in terms of infantry/gun stls around there were some limits. I printed out some tanks in 12mm with the intention of filling in the infantry with Victrix… Read more »
