I thought that I would take some time to look at some of my favourite terrain kits from the Red Oak range first. One of my favourite buildings from the set is the bank. To start with, it offers a great place to set up for a scenario but it also just looks amazing. I like all the detail on the walls and accessories and the shape of the building as a whole. It has the over-the-top ostentatiousness of a place created to house money. It, therefore, makes it exceedingly interesting to rob!

Talking of robbing places, maybe your gang aren't quite cut out for a proper bank job yet. Maybe they could instead have a pop at robbing the local Post Office instead?

That welcome sign is just an invitation for bandits to bust down the door and start a hold-up! Again, I like the detail in the kit and it's worth noting again that all of the terrain here is pre-coloured so you just have to stick it together and it's good to go!

Another of the absolutely stunning kits from the Red Oak range is this amazing Watertower. It has all the trappings of an American Wild West building but with all of the bonus notes that you get from the Steampunky world of Wild West Exodus.

I think this is a proper statement piece for you to include in your games. Because of the skirmish nature of Wild West Exodus, you could also have a bunch of fun with this in-game. It doesn't just have to sit there and look pretty. It has space on its different layers to be totally playable and that means sending someone flying off the side!

These buildings would also be really great for including in games like Malifaux and Mythos as they fit the theme and aesthetic of those worlds pretty darn well. Estun Village

In addition to the Steampunk goodness of the Red Oak terrain set, you can also get your hands on the Fantasy terrain set for the Estun Village.

If you're a fan of The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms then these buildings are going to be a perfect fit for your collection. They could be used to recreate the idyllic landscape of Riverrun which is quite the haven after the events of Helgen. It has all of the Norse vibes that Skyrim has to offer whilst also introducing a few unique twists here and there.

This also means that the terrain could be used for a variety of other games too. If you want to add that Norse vibe to your tabletop then this is the way to go. I mean, look at the impressive Church!

Whilst there are certainly Fantasy games worth including this in, I think that this would also be perfect for something Pulp and Horror related. If you've seen Midsommer then you know what I mean! You could have some dangerous cult hiding out in there that your survivors have to try and escape from or indeed infiltrate.

Clearly, I also have a fancy for tall things as the last of my Estun Village picks will attest to. Here is their rather fun Watchtower which again lords over the tabletop.

This seems like the perfect place to house a band of soldiers who have been charged with keeping an eye out for dragons and other foul creatures. You can then stage a proper clash between your warriors and a fearsome beast around the base as the fire catches and it starts to crumble into ruin.

As mentioned, all of these buildings come fully coloured so you just have to put them together and off you go. Some really awesome choices for a variety of different games as these would work for 28mm all the way up to 35mm.
