Claymore Castings Preview New Medieval Knight Bitz & More

Claymore Castings has been showing off some of the new miniatures that they have been working on that will soon be joining their 28mm scale Medieval collection. We start with some Knights in all their splendour.

Foot Knight Helmets // Claymore Castings

The new Knights they are working on will come with different helmets as you can see above. This means that you can customise and tinker with how your Knights look and vary up the options present within mounted and foot units.

Talking of different Knights, here are some of the bodies that you'll be able to affix those heads to. I think the chainmail work here is particularly nice when it comes to these miniatures.

It seems like we're going to be getting options for Knights armed with a sword (or another hand weapon) and shield plus spears, halberds and the like. You could use these as a Foot Knight regiment in their own right or as the dismounted riders that have been cast from their horse by an errant spear thrust or some pesky men-at-arms.

Talking of pesky folk, we also have a unit of Skirmishers that are in the works.

I love the movement that we're seeing in these poses. They give you a snapshot of the action on the tabletop as these soldiers are rushing from the bushes to take down an enemy patrol. Whilst they could be skirmishers hired on by a local baron, these would also work as sneaky bandits and outlaws on the road.
