Cubicle 7 announced at Gen Con that they are now working on a brand new Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game. Drawing on grimdark roleplaying games of the past, Imperium Maledictum will see you return to the world of Warhammer 40,000 with a d100 system.

Imperium Maledictum - Cubicle 7

Warhammer 40,000: Imperium Maledictum // Cubicle 7

This will build on the mechanics that will be familiar to those who have played Cubicle 7's Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play 4th Edition but take things into a Sci-Fi future. Set in the Macharian Sector, you will be taking on the role of those within the Imperium fighting against enemies within and without.

The Core Rulebook focuses on everything players and Gamemasters need to get started playing in the Macharian Sector including Patrons, Enemies and more. Additional books for the setting will allow you to focus in on specific factions and those fighting for the Inquisition and the Ecclesiarchy for example.

The focus here shifts towards intrigue and investigation over the heavy action of Wrath & Glory. Obviously, both systems allow for you to approach the game however you like but the d100 system here should allow for much more granularity.

"Your service to your patron allows you to move through Imperial society where others can’t. The Influence you and your patron have with the many factions of the Imperium will determine how your investigations proceed, where you can go, and what resources you have access to."

This all sounds very intriguing and it will be fascinating to learn more about Imperium Maledictum as Cubicle 7 announce it!

Are you going to be diving in?
