WoFun Games Offer Up 17 Historical Rule Sets For FREE!

The folks at WoFun Games have offered up a rather awesome present for Historical wargamers this month. They are offering up seventeen WoFun Starterpack PDF Rule Sets for FREE.

The sets have been designed by Andy Callan and can be found across a number of the WoFun sets. WoFun has been specialising in offering up flat miniatures that are perfect for people starting out who don't want to fuss with painting. To aid in that, Callan also worked on the Starterpack rules to make it easy to give into Historical wargames.
Each of the Starterpack Rules comes with around ten to fourteen pages of rules and background that are simple for beginners. There are also options for playing out specific battles from history so that you can do a bit of learning as you do some gaming!
As well as basic rules, there are also options for more advanced and challenging games based around the absolutely excellent Peter Dennis Signature Collections.
All you'd need to get started are some miniatures (maybe from WoFun or from those left in your collection?), some dice, playing cards and a tape measure. I think this is a neat gift from WoFun that offers up a way to play out all manner of different periods.
Even if you don't have the armies right now, these Starterpack Rules might be enough to get you started in a period and looking to pick up a few miniatures for a new army.
