Philippe Attali's new Kolossal Games/Matagot Games release for next year is going to be the cunningly cooperative deduction game where you're going to be trying to prove that you didn't do it! See what you make of these early previews for Almost Innocent.

Almost Innocent - Kolossal Games

Almost Innocent // Kolossal Games

Almost Innocent is a two-to-four-player affair where you'll need to try and get out of the crimes that you supposedly committed. As they mention in their background for the game, you may have let a party get a little out of hand and now you've been locked up. So, your friends will have to work together to get you out of prison.

During gameplay for Almost Innocent, your friends hold the keys to your release and will have to give you clues that describe the crime that you have been accused of. You will also be doing the same for the other players around the table so it will turn into quite the melting pot of conflicting information if you're not careful.

Almost Innocent will also come with a storybook and campaign that will introduce new rules for you to get your head around from chapter to chapter. New mechanics and powerful abilities will come into play that will turn things into an even more interesting puzzle.

This game sounds fascinating and puts another fun cooperative puzzler into the mix for board game fans. If you've played the likes of The Grizzled or The Crew then this might be for you. I think it also helps that Almost Innocent features stunning art from Satoshi Matsuura.

Are you going to be keeping an eye on this one?
