With the new revised edition of The Lord Of The Rings: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games now out in the wild, you may have played through all of the current scenarios that have been released as part of the revised core set. If you are anything like me, those were done and dusted a long time ago!

Fellowship Of The Ring Saga Expansion Box - The Lord of the Rings

Fellowship Of The Ring Saga Expansion Box // The Lord Of The Rings

Instead of heading off into Mirkwood, players were provided with a new venture into expansions offering both heroes and campaigns. However, if you are looking for some more grit and story to dive into, one that may be familiar to you, The Fellowship Of The Ring Saga Expansion, is getting a revival. Combining The Black Riders and The Road Darkens packs, this introduces six scenarios and a total of fifty different hero and player cards, all of which will go ahead with you on your travels!

This means you can go on your own ring-destroying adventure that recreates the first part of the trilogy. That means dealing with some nasty Nazgul along the way.

If you have seen this saga but have the previous edition cards, there is no reason to repurchase this set with nothing new inside! The purpose of this set is to simply rejig the cards for the new saga expansion and offer up a "one size fits all" option for people to dive into.

The upcoming Saga Expansion is set to be released this autumn with pre-orders now live on the Fantasy Flight website. You can take your very own fellowship and head off through Bree and, under the gaze of the mighty Gandalf, head into the wilds and deep into Moria. Just be sure to bring Mandalf himself and the Royal Bank of Eowyn for some extra cash flow!

What do you think about diverting the adventure to a route a little more guided?
