Pre-Order New Sci-Fi Cannon Fodder From Wargames Atlantic

The new Cannon Fodder 2 28mm plastic set is now available to pre-order from Wargames Atlantic. You can dive in and snap up some Female soldiers of the far future and then mix and match them with other sets in their range.
Cannon Fodder 2 Box // Wargames Atlantic
The new set has been sculpted up by Thieu Duong and offers twenty-four prisoners, militia, planetary defence forces and more that can be used in your games. Want to use them to represent a Penal Legion or perhaps the rank and file of a far-flung colony planet, you have the means!

Spread over four sprues, you'll find a bunch of bodies, heads and more that can be used to make the miniatures you require. They can be armed with regular rifles but you can also throw in plasma weapons, grenades and more if you want to give them a fighting chance on the frontier.

Because of the style of their attire, they can be painted in that bright orange to make them look like prisoners or you can dive in and give them a different look thanks to a change of paint pot. Simply changing the helmets suddenly makes them look less like prisoners and more like paid-up members of a planetary defence force.
I like the idea of using them as the regular fodder that you find in your games. I don't mean particularly as part of an army but perhaps as NPCs and random encounters that your characters run into during your games. Of course, a lot of folks are going to be using these to represent Imperial Guardsmen in Warhammer 40,000 and that's good too!
Are you tempted to snap up this new Cannon Fodder set?

30 men in a box, 24 women in a box. No equal pay here.
LOL ?
Only needs 24 women to do the work of 30 men.
Ha yes!
Lol.
I guess it is the Mars Bar effect, you keep the price the same reduce the number of models. It does make sense with rising costs to be honest.
Good looking figures.
We want a nice clean dispersal buy the numbers.
I’m staring at that underwater scene and thinking: “Has there ever been a minis game set underwater?” If not, why not? Seems like some game ought to have an Atlantis supplement or some such campaign.
Ever tried DeepWars?
I kind of wish someone would do alternate body types too … but at least we’re no longer limited to an all male crew.
Maybe mixing in the dwarves would be an option ?
(and what about female versions of other fantasy races from Wargames Atlantic ?)
Definitely tempted … so it’s on my ‘wish list’ 😀
Tempted! They seem to scale nicely with Stargrave minis… I could do some prisoners and a small guarison force!
I will pick these up at some point. I never got around to picking up any of the original Penal Legion figures GW made but I always liked the idea of having this mass of cannon fodder charging at the enemy. Plus these figures would just as well in stargrave, or mix them into the alien box game as rookies.
