Expand Your RPG Into Magical Myth In A Folklore Bestiary
July 4, 2022 by fcostin
No matter where you are journeying in your roleplaying adventures, whether it be 5E or Old School Essentials. The people over at KNOCK! magazine have gone to Kickstarter to bring some inspiration and knowledge from our world in A Folklore Bestiary.
A Folklore Bestiary // The Merry Mushmen
Across a gorgeous spread of 160 pages with artwork by Letty Wilson, players will be introduced to a wide compendium of strange and magical beasts inspired by the weird and wonderful folklore in our world.
Monster Artwork And Tale Preview // A Folklore Bestiary
From Gnoles, Scucca, Gumberoo to the Mothman. Not only will each monster or beast include material to add them to your campaign, with adventure hooks, items, dungeons spells and more. But there will be a short tale showcasing where in our own world this beast has climbed out from alongside the full-page spread artwork. It would work as a wonderful reference book if you enjoy reading deeper into myth, legend and folklore.
Monster Adventures // A Folklore Bestiary
Inside the book, players will find all the information players need to develop scenarios around each lurking beast, there's no need to install a casual encounter when there is a wealth of information that can create something bigger!
There are several different pledges if you wanted to add some legend to your campaign. You can add to your digital library with the PDF in the digital pledge for both the 5E and OSE versions. If you wanted your hardback book - you will get the PDF alongside the edition in the different bundles.
The campaign is set to be fulfilled by October this year, with digital versions being sent over as early as September. There are 24 days left on the clock. So if you are looking for some true legends to embed into your campaign, passed down from generation to generation. Be sure to take a look at A Folklore Bestiary on Kickstarter.
If you did want a sneaky peek before dipping into a pledge, The Merry Mushmen have provided a download link to five different monsters on the campaign page, so you can get stuck in early and see whether you love the preview before buying.
