I received an email this morning, and not having seen anything in the news yet thought I’d relay this on:

(copied direct from the email from Andy at Heresy)

“I am delighted to announce that following the very sad closure of Antenociti’s Workshop, I have acquired the small range of sci-fi miniatures formerly known as FATC (Fate Amenable To Change) which belonged to Jed Norton (Jed kindly taught me how to do basic resin casting back in 2005, so I am gutted to hear of AW closing. Support your indie manufacturers by buying stuff!)

To raise the funds to buy the range, and get some metal and new rubber moulds to replenish the figures, I am running a small Kickstarter which is live right now – please back it, and if you can’t back it tell your friends to back it!
The range includes a magnificent mech suit, some special operatives, cops, robots, hoverbikes and drones, and further models will be revealed as we hit Stretch goals later in the week!”

I hope someone picks up all the vehicles and scenics they used to sell, even if they’re only sold in STL format

I can’t help but notice that Antenocitis Workshop and 4Ground were both companies operating from Great Britain and wonder how much Brexit contributed to their closure. I know that Brexit has reduced orders from EU countries for other companies based in Great Britain.

@totsuzenheni Antenociti’s Workshop had been struggling for quite some time; for as long as I can remember they always seemed to be on the verge of closing, I think it was the pandemic that broke them.

Yeah, I was gutted by AW suddenly shutting up shop. Always a very high-quality product and most of my Infinity factions used their resin bases in some form or other. I’m hoping this news might mean other parts of AW’s catalogue get picked up to help Jed & co out (they honestly couldn’t seem to catch a break).

And hey! Andy is doing more salvage work as he’s added another set of Special Operators” to the Kickstarter, this time it’s the 3-woman team that were once part of Statuesque Miniatures line before being discontinued. I’m already in for a Komodo suit and some add-ons, might end up with a bit more as well as Andy is a good sort who has also been struggling the last few years as well.

I did like the old FATC/Governance of Technology stuff that they used to do, buy I already own a significant part of the range from when Antenociti’s first started trading.

Would love to see someone pick up the Governance of Technology vehicles and maybe the designed for Infinity range

‘Fate Amenable To Change’, someone’s a fan of Iain M Banks.
