Cyclops Beams His Way Into Marvel: Champions TCG
June 24, 2022 by fcostin
Since we have learned about the X-Men debut coming to Marvel: Champions The Card Game in Mutant Genesis; we were left scratching our heads at Fantasy Flight's upcoming "teases" of two characters. Both of which looked strikingly like some original X-Men, and were not exactly hard to figure out.
To no surprise, the first Hero Pack to come out alongside Shadowcat and Colossus in the next season will be Cyclops. Certainly not as powerful as the other teased upcoming hero - Jean Grey, but sure enough to give you a wink if you've threatened harm to the students of the X-Mansion!
Cyclops Hero Pack // Marvel Champions: The Card Game
Bringing a new commander into the arena, this righteous concussive-blast shooting OG mentor will be flexing his tactical might alongside his leading position to bring a 15-card pre-built Leadership deck. Ready to be used as a playable character straight out of the box.
Cyclops Card Previews // Marvel Champions: The Card Game
Taking charge of the X-Men and holding up the helm, Scott Summers will be boasting his humble and noble personality by encouraging teamwork amongst his allies, encouraging a team-up of pure classic X-Men wonder. As he has endured years of training, there's no reason he cannot bring his tactical insight and improvements into battle. Alongside his ability to work well with others, his Optic Blast will be sure to knock any opponent back a few notches, Sentinals beware!
Mutant Genesis will be released this Autumn both online at FLGS stores, with Cyclops and Jean Grey Hero Packs being showcased and sold alongside the new season box. The season will contain six different packs - instead of the regular four output, bringing X-Men heroes their first chance at some Marvel Champions action!
What X-Men would you like to see join the fray?

Beast and Nightcrawler would be my picks, though I’m sure it won’t be long before Wolverine turns up.
