Grab Bolt Action Rules For Enemy At The Gates’ Vasily!

Warlords Games have added a new profile onto their website for use with Bolt Action. You might remember this particular sniper from Enemy At The Gates played by Jude Law. See if you can find a spot to snipe from with Vasily Zaitzev...
The full rules for Vasily are located over on the link above but he's a crack shot as you might imagine. He will be hitting pretty much anything he comes against very easily and can adapt to the various situations he might find himself in with ease.

"Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Zaitzev first distinguished himself during the battle of Stalingrad as a superb sniper. He killed 225 Axis officers and men over a five-week period of the battle, including 11 enemy snipers. Between October 1942 and January 1943 it’s been estimated he scored as many as 400 kills, although more conservative estimates place the figure at around 300. All this was achieved despite taking the time to train other Red Army men and women in specialist sniping techniques that are still in use to this day."
This all comes ahead of the Ostfront: Barbarossa to Berlin supplement coming out for Bolt Action next year. It's touted for an early release so keep an eye out for it if you like your Russians.

Deadly accurate he may be but he’s not a patch on my heer medium mortar team it’s verging on the supernatural how it hits it’s target.
I hope Zaitzev will be the free giveaway model that comes with the book
now that’s a cracking idea – as @dags says, lot of people get put off by the horde aspect of Russian armies but the history and brutality of it all is great, so compelling! Would love to do a Siege of Leningrad or Jassy-Kishinev Offensive themed set of games with my chums, mind you, something as iconic as Stalingrad would probably be a way to get some fresh blood into the game…
Snipers are all ready pretty good in Bolt Action. Given a chance to field Vasily Zaitzev who wouldn’t want to field a Soviet force? I can see it it now the sniper duel from Enemy at the Gates will become a favored game. I for one look forward to recreating it.
