Mantic are back onto crowdfunding with Dark Horse, bringing The Umbrella Academy: The Board Game to Gamefound. Allowing players to take the role of our favourite family of dysfunctional heroes, cooperating across the city to thwart the plans of notorious iconic villains.

Putting the safety of humanity first, Mantic is now live on Gamefound returning with a cooperative board game experience, already funded. With nine days left on the clock, and a whole hoard of enemies ahead - it's time to suit up and thrust through some villainry.

Whether you want to enter the game in a solo capacity or thrust through the enemy after the next as a crime-fighting family, 1-5 players will be stepping into the role of a hero, picking from a choice of main character family members who all are incredibly unique due to their output of special abilities.

Smashing through hooligans and wrong-doer across the city, players will be heading to different locations across the map to stop the coming of days. Prepping for chaos on every corner and clearing hazards from the board, they will need to stop the wreckage of the city from progressing into rubble before facing the Final Battle, which will be determined by the mission at play.

If the team can put their sibling rivalry aside and take down the tyrannical villain, they will be crowned the winners of the title. Each villain who is thrown into battle will really change up the dynamics of each playthrough, making replayability high due to the mishmash of characters and villains creating combos of destruction and awe with their unique abilities when engaging in different missions.

This is not the first team-up from Dark Horse and Mantic, with Hellboy: The Board Game already bringing collaborative challenge after challenge. This will be the first tabletop title to be joining the Mantic Games' Board Games Division, which was freshly announced last week.
