Antediluvian Preview Robert The Bruce & The Black Douglas!

Antediluvian Miniatures has teamed up with Matthew Bickley to add more characters to their Wars Of The Bruce's collection. Two major characters are going to be coming to their webstore soon starting with Robert The Bruce himself.

If you're looking to introduce the main man himself then I can't think of a better representation of him. Bickley does amazing work and I love how much detail has been added to the sculpt. The expression on his face is ace and I like the shield position, slung over his back.

Riding into battle alongside him, we have one of his most faithful followers, The Black Douglas.

The Black Douglas was an absolutely badass raider and managed to capture many castles and towns from the English during The Bruce's campaigns. If you're looking to play out skirmish games and larger mass battles, The Black Douglas matches up well with either. I do hope that we get an on-foot version of him as well.

As well as the two major characters above, we also have another ally shown off in the form of the axe-wielding Angus Og Macdonald, Lord Of Islay.

He is then joined by his personal piper who is playing out a tune on the Faery Bagpipes Of Kinlochmoidart. Say that fast when you've had a few drinks. If you were looking to start up a big Medieval army based around the clashes between the Scottish and the English then the folks at Antediluvian have certainly made it easy to begin!
