Wyrd Pave The Way For More Malifaux This December!
December 17, 2014 by brennon
Wyrd Miniatures have put together another raft of releases for Malifaux this December! It's all kinds of weird and wonderful once again with some crazy crews and there's even a Pigapult!
First up we have said awesome looking crews that take the nature of torture and twisted humanity to another level, especially in the case of Salvage and Logistics. The cooler of the two sets however, in my opinion, is Of Metal and Flesh with their rather cool golem. I may have found a set that rivals Torch and Blade for it's awesomeness.
Contraptions and strange inventions abound with some of the smaller boxed sets as well for Malifaux. The Gremlins have got themselves quite the creature of mystery with the Pig Whisperer and then something insane with the Pigapult! Next to them you have the clanking awesomeness of Hannah and the eerie nature of those Crooked Men.
What will you be picking up this month?

Do Malifaux do a two player starter box set? I’d get one if so. The mini’s are fantastico.
Nope – no need. All you need to get going is (all prices RRP): 1x 2ed Rulebook (mini @£10 or Maxi @£30) 2x Malifaux 2 Crew Boxes from different factions, whichever factions and crews take your fancy (£25-£30 each). Consider Crew boxes the equivalent to “Starter boxes”. If the latest packaging they include 2ed cards for each mini type. Some dice, tape measure and a deck of cards each; any kind will do although obviously you might get specific malifaux dice and some faction specific decks if you prefer (£8 each). A surface to play on, eventually you might want… Read more »
Cheers me lil sausage! I’ll pick up the rule box 1st and a crew box then go from there. I award you 3 infinity stones. 🙂
No dice needed. But I’m sure that no one here was worried about not having dice. And any two decks of face cards will do- Wyrd makes some that are very pretty, but you don’t have to get them.
Get any two of their crew box sets as a starter- Wyrd does a good job of making the crew boxes have good synergy.
The the tabletop rulebook is something like fifteen dollars.
There’s a two player intro set on the way but why wait 🙂
I picked up the PDF rules only book from DrivethruRPG for $10.00 the other day – no fluff but the Chronicles magazine is available for free download from the Wyrd site so no loss 🙂
