Operational Turning Points: Widowmaker Absorption Released
December 16, 2014 by stvitusdancern
Catalyst Game Labs has released a PDF expansion for Battletech, Operational Turning Points: Widowmaker Absorption, is a campaign that takes players through the history of the Clan Wolf.
As per the website: This campaign series uses the Chaos Campaign rules and gives players the option of fighting individual Missions or Touchpoints, following a campaign arc, and inserting it into their own campaigns. This PDF exclusive includes detailed information on every world where Clan Wolf hunted down its prey, a rundown of the forces involved in the conflict, an overview of the historical campaign, and several tools and tracks that players can use to run historical characters and battles from this time period.
Battletech is one of my youngest son's favorite games to play. He loves the big robots battling it out on the table. Even after all these years it is nice to see Battletech going strong. I do agree with most that the miniatures could use an update, but there is also that nostalgia feeling one gets when playing a mission.
Does playing the battles of Clan Wolf interest you?

Classic sci-fi tactical minis from the 80s and 90s. I hope the new owners can bring this classic back in all its former FASA-era glory. 🙂
It’s nice to see new BT releases getting some attention so that people can learn about them. As Clan Wolf fan this one does interest me.
BT was my first ‘serious’ game I played, I still have ~500+ Minis and dozens of books around.
I believe no other SciFi universe has as much fluff and story to tell as BT. They also provide something for everyones taste. A tactical Boardgame and its fast Tabeltop variant, computer games, an RPG and many novels (60+) and sourcebooks (100+) to gather background information from.
If you like to delve really deep into a universe, then this is the thing you are looking for.
You have 500+ Battletech mini’s?? I admit that I’m envious of your collection.
