    ### Start of shameless copy and paste ###

First time visitor to OTT? Then please introduce yourself in the New Member Thread and look around in the Project System. Then come back and read on…

    Introduce yourselves (New member thread)

    https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/

Read all of this before you start as it will save you any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

And don’t forget the highlights of the weekend: The Weekender on Friday and XLBS on Sunday. And the little show that is the unofficial Hobby Hangout over at twitch.tv

    ### End of shameless copy and paste ###

    Questions:

    • Will you try to keep up with UKGE on the site here?
    • Do you even bother looking at conventions online when you can’t attend them in person?
    • Why am I still this tired?

And now back to the show.

    From the previous thread:

@limburger there will be G’Wullu at UKGE? Oh noes!

@horati0nosebl0wer How do you keep finding these?! XD

Off to this week: my pledge: get Bot War done’ish

    My Answers:

    • Maybe. Mostly to have something on while doing hobby
    • only when I know there are games shown that are of interest to me. Usually I don’t care.
    • Stop these self-reflecting questions! You know you don’t know the answer.

    And now: COFFEE

    Oh yes!

There is hope! There will be a new Beavis and Butthead movie. And I didn’t knew how much I wanted one of those until I saw the trailer XD

    Morning

1/2. No not really unless it looks like some interesting figures or rulesets but will most likely check in at the end of the day. UKGE always seems more like a trade event rather than hobby show and the only reason for shows is to see figures and rukesets in the flesh so to speak.

    3. Too busy trying to think up questions for this thread

Wait? You mean I could think of those in advance and not on the fly every Friday? Weird concept…

    (1) yes … although I really should be doing other things, but I can’t help but look at all the shiny.

    (2)  only because there is no realistic way for me to be there … maybe next year. Definitely on my list of things I want to do.

    (3) ’cause the weather is shite and you’ve got to do more than you really want to ?

back to my attempt at clearing out my hobby space and reorganizing it You know you’ve become a hoarder/collector of games when you need more external storage before you can add shelves and closets to store stuff …

The good news is that bit by bit I am getting things done,  provided I minimize distractions.

    Happy Friday, I’m late.

My pledge is to work my Stonehenge style terrain and to play a game of Sláine tomorrow evening. It’s going to be Fomorians vs Sláine and the Earth Tribes.

Will you try to keep up with UKGE on the site here?

I plan on at least seeing what’s out there, but then cherry pick videos that may interest me.

Do you even bother looking at conventions online when you can’t attend them in person?

Yes, it’s generally a great time for companies to announce new stuff and to see what’s out there. I’ve already bought something from one of the interviews on OTT today, one of the Storymaster’s tales books, they look great.

Why am I still this tired?

Either more sleep is needed or more coffee.

There is hope! There will be a new Beavis and Butthead movie.

That’s amazing news. I loved Beavis and Butthead back in the day.

Beavis and Butthead … they were one of the first signs that MTV would stop doing music videos.
I never liked how they kept talking over the music videos, but some of the bits were funny.

It is weird to see them return when their brand of humour is something the moral morons out there will want banned for life.

I remember seeing Daria and Aeon Flux too, but as MTV was all about the music videos trying to watch anything was more a gamble.

I also remember how the existence of Aeon Flux meant that the Aeon RPG by Whitewolf had to be renamed after it was released …
(it’s a shame the live action movie was shite compared to the series)

And then there was The Maxx, don’t forget him!

don’t recall him as such, but the google images I’ve found did look like something I might have caught glimpses off.

Isn’t “The Tick” another MTV cartoon from their music-tv era as well ?
All those shows were probably after midnight which was way beyond my bed time …
