Steamforged Announce Dark Souls RPG Miniatures Range
May 23, 2022 by fcostin
The Dark Souls RPG has been out for a little while now, with complaints from many players regarding rules and errors on release. Steamforged is prepping to replace all copies, both digital and physical - reinstating all frustrated players' hope to travel deep into the dying simulator that is Dark Souls on the tabletop.
Helping to bring the characterisation alive from the big screen, Steamforged Games have announced that they will be making a miniatures range alongside the RPG with an official line.

Showcasing familiar enemies which have left you wrecked with PTSD and frustration via the video game medium - Steamforged will be producing a series of hard plastic models including Ornstein and Smough, Artorias of the Abyss and on the flipside for heroes, a starting player class to locate on the table.
Flexing the 5e ruleset, players will be hoping to see these upcoming models on the tabletop this year, so you too will be able to face off against the brutality and savage output of pain on the tabletop - with a lil' visual help from the minis! But, there is no news on whether these will be similar to the models already produced as part of the Dark Souls: The Board Game.

If you are interested, be sure to check out their initial announcement over on their website, and drop your name on the mailing list to receive updates on the debut range of Dark Souls RPG miniatures.
I wonder how these might be released by Steamforged? Potentially could be like Dungeons and Doggies collected in one box or continuous output like they do over with Epic Encounters. Either way, whether you are playing Dark Souls or just want some grimdark fierce fantasy models for your tabletop - be sure to keep an eye on the upcoming release.
Are you tempted by the upcoming range of Dark Souls miniatures?

i love the figures.
These are the same renders originally displayed on the Kickstarter. The models that came with the game were slightly different (apart from the knight who was posed differently). Interesting to see if these represent the upcoming models or are just being used as a place holder.
