uh oh … friday 13th … I hate being reminded that I should not be paranoid, but somehow I always am.

1) Sculptors – do you have favourites?
Nope,  … well maybe I do but because I don’t know their names I don’t.
Then again I don’t care that much as consistent style is more important than it being either one or more sculptors.
It also creates problems if the sculptor responsible leaves a company as they can never ever produce new minis that look like the originals …

2) Do you buy minis just because a certain sculptor made them and you don’t ever plan on use them or play the game they are associated with?
Nope, if I buy a mini it’s because I like how it looks.

3) Should sculptors (and all creatives for that) that work on a game/game system be credited by name?

credit needs to be where credit is due. This applies to all things … not just (tabletop) games.
And I’d argue that those who provide the creative expertise are just as important as the ones that make the minis.
Why should the guy doing the casting not get credit for his craftsmanship ?
Or what about the artist making the pretty pictures on the box ?
The painter who painted them ?
etc.

OTOH … do we really need a separate booklet with a ton of names that ultimately have no meaning to the average buyer ?
And do we really want to copy the toxic celebrity worship that has tainted the entertainment industry ?

I really want just two things :
= a good product
= those responsible for said product getting paid an honest amount of money instead of them being tricked into working their arse off for pennies …
