Crusades! Best Period For Historic Gaming? Barons’ War Answers The Call – Deus Vult! #OTTWeekender
May 13, 2022 by avernos
It's OTT Weekender time! We cry Deus Vult and look to the Barons' War Outremer as Warren asks if the Crusades is the best period for people to start historical gaming with. On top of that May seems to be the Month for FREE Rules so if you're interested in BOT WAR, DEADZONE, or World War II night raids then we have you covered.

OTT what have you done? ?I hadn’t heard of goon master minis and now I do……have you seen the Rhino Legionaries…not to mention kung fu monkeys. I’m thinking these could be folded into my Warploque and Wars of Oz. Great find ?
i have yet to see any of these, but have you watched the Greatest movie ever made?
Which one? Zulu or Waterloo? Gettysburg? Pretty fond of all of them really, hard to choose. I recommend the Rhino Legion just click on the link above for Goon Master and scroll down past the Weasel Witch hunters…yes Weasel Witch Hunters, wonderful stuff ?

Ooh its Conan an Rambo?
I think I’m last again… ?
Yes… Free @fcostin is in the titles – about time! ?
the 3D figures do look good.
Nice one Guy’s ILL BE BACK, Sunday.
Intricate artefacts have been found in Scandinavia that predate anything Egyptian.
Human skeletons with European type skulls that predate any Amerindian skeletons have been found in Florida and Nevada.
History as we have been taught is a lie agreed upon.
Not sure if muhCrusades are the BEST historical gaming, based on my observations, Napoleonics seem to be the most POPULAR, followed by WWII and the ACW.
Night goblins!!!!!! Night goblins?!?!?
I want them.
Don’t suppose anyone has a size comparison for them by chance? Very interested to see that they fit 20mm square bases and are smaller than humans like the warlord landsknechts and old GW lord of the rings men etc.
Anyone ??
Ragnarok miniatures are getting my vote.
that’s a job for @dugthefug I think he may have some. I have vikings he made and the goblins are shorter than them. They’ll fit on a 20mm square like nature intended
Cheers for the reply. 20mm bases confirmed is half way there.
I’m in @dugthefugs hands then I may be £100 lighter.
Wait, Do I need 200 goblins?
Free got the names wrong. It should be Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub.
And we love you @avernos ?
Barons War Baby
Free games you say? Don’t mind if i do I say, have a cheeky thumbs up and comment
