I had a very enjoyable game of Stargrave on Saturday, four players on a 3×3 table. It was quite bloody. I didn’t manage to secure any loot but had a really fun time. Three of the players are still new to the Frostgrave/Stargrave formula but we were all fluent with the rules pretty quick.

One person even turned up with his 90s Necromunda collection to use for his warband, some classic miniatures.

I’m pretty excited to play more games of Stargrave soon.

Yep. I just don’t really like the current style of miniatures GW are producing. Just like some of their game rules, they are way too over designed for my taste and seem more plasticy with clothing lacking texture. They are too perfect.
I often wonder what I’m missing when I hear several different people comment on the newest models and say that they are fantastic. Is it me? Is it my tastes. Am I blind by nostalgia? Still each to their own.
