Happy Friday.

My pledge this week is to finish the Skull Swords I’ve been working on (almost done) then start Earth Tribe miniatures.
Tomorrow we plan to play a 4 way game of Stargrave, which I imagine will be quite bloody as it’ll be on a 3×3 table. I’ve also been rolling up more turns for Five Leagues From The Borderlands, so a new battle may be on the horizon soon.
I’m off work next week so between painting I might get started building more terrain for Sláine.

Imagine you have a painted army. All painted in your way and style. You discover a new way to paint. Then new stuff for your army is getting released. Do you:

switch your style but leave the old ones “as is”
switch your style and redo all the old stuff
keep the army in a consistent “old” style but new armies get the new treatment

I’d probably continue with the newer style and leave the rest as is for now. It takes so long to paint stuff and I change my mind so often that keeping the same style for an army would get boring for me. I’d rather have the whole army done than spend time going over old ground and never getting the new stuff painted. The different painting styles is also a record of how my painting has progressed or changed over time.
