West End Games? That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time…. Where did FFG put the RPG stuff? I seem to remember they transferred those as well as Legion, X-Wing and Armada?
I have the FFG stuff but saving that for a longer campaign idea I have to run the players as clones during the fall of the republic (bad batch). I have a full sector map already drawn and ready.
I was just wondering because the RPG isn’t found anywhere on FFGs site… where did it go? The way of the dodo? Do I remember it wrong that it went to a different Asmodee company?
Edge Studio’s and books are getting reprinted and will be back in the fall I asked them.
I have the FFG and WOTC games too, but prefer WEG.
WOTC was ok, but a bit too D&D.
FFG dice system was a pain… figuring out how to apply threat.
WEG is simple… pick a target number, roll a bunch of dice. Throw in the wild dice rules of 2e if you want mayhem and chaos to ensue.
FFG never made an rpg they made a board game with tokens and stupid dice
Ok I rephrase that then: FFG had the licence to do an RPG and did “something” with it.
Bam ? this is the way
Can’t wait to finish work so I can give this a peep
Also I’m sure @warzan is drinking a variation on “White Russian”. Instead of mixing vodka and milk he used milk and Curaçao Blue. That also explains he dice going off table 😉
Last October I started what I thought would be a short WEG Star Wars campaign to take us up to xmas… and it’s still going.
It’s a bit of weird game… set post Endor with bunch musicians trying to make it big in the galaxy while dealing with personal baggage, crime syndicates and occasionally imperials.
Low combat. Lot of role-play. Often silly. But we’re enjoying it.
Cool and fun game to watch, and nice to hear a familiar, Newcastle accent on the show.
Good stuff.
Geordies of the world unite

Sadly the WEG 30th Anniversary edition was limited print run and now out of stock. I think you can get pdf’s if you hunt around.
