Acid House Terrain were previously on Kickstarter with their portable, no-glue, no-paint, no-clips Sci-Fi terrain which was a great option for people who don't have the time or inclination to work on wargaming terrain. They are now moving towards producing a range of Fantasy terrain now with a campaign launching in May!

Fantasy Terrain Town - Acid House Terrain

The new terrain (shown in the prototype stage) covers a range of different options for setting up wargaming, skirmish and roleplaying game tabletops. There are castles in the works alongside houses and taverns, ruins, temples and even trees to hide your heroes and villains!

The blocky nature of the terrain range works particularly well for the likes of castles structures as you can see here. I think it looks fantastic when used as ruins and strongholds that are worth delving into with your miniatures. It should also be pretty modular allowing you to tinker with it and set up different designs to match the kind of game/scenario that you're playing.

I'm not entirely won over by the look of the trees just yet but it will be interesting to see where they go with the designs as the Kickstarter campaign closes in. I think the larger stone structures they have designed look fantastic though.

There are more previews of the range as it stands HERE if you're interested and they even show off the "grid" that will be very handy for those playing Dungeons & Dragons. I think these would look great when dropped over some of the Loke BattleMats collection. Imagine some 2.5D action with those nice ring binders!

Their Sci-Fi collection was a great addition to the terrain ranges out there and it was certainly "no fuss" which is a big bonus. It's not quite the same as having a good set of plastic/resin/homemade terrain on your tabletop but if you're looking for a quick option, this seems to cut the mustard.

Are you going to be keeping an eye on this?
