Stonemaier Announces Cooperative Viticulture Expansion
April 18, 2022 by fcostin
Bringing the life of the party with wine and agriculture to the tabletop, players have enjoyed Viticulture for years now. Stonemaier Games's competitive title places players at the helm of their own vineyard striving to create a great turnover and be the best in the business.
Stonemaier Games have recently announced that the wine business doesn't need to be so cut throat! There's lots of Mumma and Pappa business out there striving for acknowledgement for their tasty grape. Bringing a new expansion later this year, encouraging collaboration and solo play in the Viticulture World Cooperative Expansion.
Viticulture World // Stonemaier Games
Still requiring the base game to play, instead of players competing against one another for profit, 1-6 players will be working to achieve the same goal, which will require team work across the full wine-making family.
All working each to rake in 25 victory points, players will need to put all previous opponents as their top priority to succeed. Reaching out to new territories over the course of six years, meeting two winning conditions of accumulative victory points and progression to the end of the influence track.

The new addition to the title does not alienate the other Viticulture expansions too. Meaning that if you wanted to add in the extra player boards and resources from the Tuscany expansion or Tuscany Essential Edition, you can indeed solo and collaborate with the additional resources and gameplay.
Viticulture has been quite a tension-filled experience for myself and my group on games night (maybe the themed wine pairing is a mistake...). Adding the cooperative experience will allow players to explore a different path in the game

Viticulture: World is going to be headed to pre-orders in Summer this year, so far just teased with information to what to expect from the expansion. However, we have been told that we won't need to wait long for the release if you are buying straight from Stonemaier. But if you can wait until the retail date, you can expect to receive your expansion "a few months" after.
What do you think of the new expansion for Viticulture?

Viticulture is one of those games that I do enjoy – but it has some awkward interactions once you dive deeper into it. So, having a cooperative option sounds like it could make up for that.
