Asymmetrical games would entirely solve my problem!
The chaps are not keeping up with the Uruk hai progress, I’m easily twice the points or more than them.
Suggestions please! What could I get them playing in Warhammer 6th or Kings of War that might be fun and isn’t a siege of a castle. I haven’t made a castle yet, got a semi fortified town but no castle. It’s about 6 thousand points to 3 thousand at the moment.
that’s an interesting question, I’ll have a think, and I shall get back to you, also don’t worry I keep an eye on your project so I can show it off on the UHH with Timberly
Loving UHH with youse and Timberley.
Given me the second wind for pike armed orcs! I’m on the road again, and the end is in sight!
Appreciate any thoughts you have.
When we played a lot of Epic. We always there shouldn’t have been a Space Marine army list. Instead it should have been imperial guard army and maybe 1 or 2 marine detachments allowed as firefighter units @avernos Thank you for mentioning Scythe..I have counselling sessions booked in again There are so many scenarios out there for WW2 online that makes the games more interesting to play even if you know your not going to stop or defeat the enemy. The 1940 campaign in the low countries and France are a prime example My question woukd be are these more… Read more »
Happy Sunday!
So you died huh? This weekend of all weekends just give it a few days…
Great show guys and Points Evil garbage no points make for fun games!!
The problem with ‘hard’ games is that they attract a toxic mentality where any request for help is answered with ‘git gud’ It’s been the one thing that annoyed me with Dark Souls (the videogame). Anyone daring to question the difficulty level was declared a ‘loser’. Instead of welcoming new people into the community they were openly hostile. So would I appreciate games with higher difficulty levels ? Sure … but I’d argue that we need games that cater to both ends of the spectrum. Let me have all the assists possible and I will let you turn that dial… Read more »

As per usual, Pascal wants his sun….
And WILL get it. Recording or not. He gives 0 shits.
Love the bit where free is trying to stop the cat attacking the blinds, then she gives up.
Pascal vs Free. The ultimate asymmetrical game
Hi OTTers & XLBSers.
Historical games used to have the points game problem back in the 1970s, when WRG were the standard set of rules for Ancients, and far too many games were 1000 (standard tournament) or 1500 points straight fights between armies that would never have met in real life (Aztecs vs Samurai was seen on the table).
The “gamesmanship” of the period was notorious as well – a Roman army with a camel messenger attached to every unit so cavalry wouldn’t come near them was the reason one well-known player of the time said he’d given up on Ancients games.
the WRG is a whole other can of worms
