Wing Guard
So this was a bit more fun, lots of basic colors, but I did some things that I thought were fun. So they give you enough models for two units of three Wing Guard. Keeping to the Grey/Red markings from the sentry droids earlier, I did red cuffs and hat ring for the elite, and grey cuffs and hat ring for the standard troopers. I also did gold trim for the jacket on the elites and silver for the standard. I think it was a nice complement.
Because I’m painting the bases black, and the boots were also black, I opted for some gloss varnish in order to help the boots stand out from the bases. To keep it consistent, I also glossed the holsters.
Finally, I opted for the multiple skin tones for probably the first time in my painting career. My main reasoning is that I thought it would blend better with Lando Calrissian.
Overall, these were some fun troops to paint up.
