The Mighty Empires collection from Blitzkrieg Miniatures has been expanded to include an army you don't normally see on the Historical tabletop. If you're interested in making a 28mm Ancient Indian army then they have you covered!

Indian Command - Blitzkrieg Miniatures

Their range has been designed so that you can build armies of Indian warriors who could have fought against the likes of Alexander The Great during his expansion East. As I've mentioned, you don't normally see miniatures for this kind of army out there in the wild so it's pretty fun to see them pop up in such numbers!

Indian Spearmen - Blitzkrieg Miniatures

Indian Spearmen // Blitzkrieg Miniatures

The core of a good army is here in spades. You can get your hands on Spearmen, Archers and more elite infantry alongside Command elements to lead each unit (and your army in general). All of the miniatures that you see here are shown in render form because they are 3D Printed and sent out to you in resin.

Indian Archers - Blitzkrieg Miniatures

I think that the sculptor Mario Kkounnous has done a great job on this set of miniatures. I don't have a great frame of reference to work out how accurate they are to their real-world counterparts but they certainly look the part. I bet that they would be really fun to paint, especially as an alternative for the Ancient period.

Indian Armoured Macemen - Blitzkrieg Miniatures

Some of my favourite miniatures from the collection are these Macemen (above). They look mean and deadly, the perfect option to choose as bodyguards for your commander. You can currently buy smaller packs, packs with command options and full regiments, all for a pretty reasonable price.

I reckon that this would be a neat option for someone looking to explore the Ancient period with a very different army.

What do you think?
