Corvus Belli Start Teasing Warcrow Info With Whispers Of Lindwurm!
April 6, 2022 by brennon
Corvus Belli has begun teasing more information about their upcoming Fantasy universe of Warcrow. Hoopoe, a new brand ambassador for Corvus Belli, has started her series called Whispers Of Lindwurm which starts to delve into the background of the world and more.
Whispers Of Lindwurm Episode #1 // Warcrow
In the first episode of Whispers Of Lindwurm, Hoopoe discusses a little bit of the background of Lindwurm (the world where Warcrow is set). For example, a collection of traditional Fantasy races are going to be included within the game but there are also going to be some fun Corvus Belli creations too. I'm hoping for dragon people...
We also heard a little bit about the games that we're going to be getting. The first game for Warcrow is going to be a dungeon crawler called "Warcrow Adventures". It will feature plastic miniatures (similar to those from Aristeia!) and will also come to retail after its Kickstarter campaign.
There was also a little bit of news on the wargame (in 2023) that will follow the dungeon crawler. Players will only need around twenty miniatures per side which seems pretty cool. It feels like it will focus on smaller skirmishes between warbands which fits the style of game Corvus Belli has created in the past.
I am totally on board with the idea of a Fantasy game from Corvus Belli. They've already said that they are going to aim for a rulebook of no more than fifty pages. So, that sounds like it might be nice and approachable from a mechanical point of view. If nothing else, I just want to see what kind of miniatures they're going to make!
Are you already getting psyched for Warcrow?

Sounding good it will be interesting to see what monsters & Hero’s they will think up for this.
I do not consider 20 miniatures per side a small skirmish game. This may mean a starter box with 10 per side and then forcing you to spend hundreds more for a full points game.
I will be interested to see what the $300+ Adventure KS in November will look like.
I did say smaller skirmishes to imply something like SAGA than a Warcry etc which is just a handful of figures. From the way they’re talking now, that’s the kind of wargame I assume they are aiming at rather than something needing hundreds of figures per side
With Corvus looking to make the models in Siocast or Plastic, hopefully won’t be hundreds of dollars for just 10 more models!!!
Yeah.. at Infinity prices, 10 models on top of a core set is a bit pricey… then again, how many of us have way more infinity models than we ‘need’ to play a game… lol. But here’s hoping the price scales with the # of figures and the material they are made out of.
I do like the sound of 20 minis per side.
One of the Adepticon post-coverage podcasts talked about WarCrow and how activation #s won’t be tied to #’s of models… so won’t be like Infinity where 20 models = 20 orders.. which gives hopefully people more options for building their lists that aren’t needing to be min/maxed for order and activation effectiveness!
Ahh cool cos I hate that kind of shenanigans.
I am a big Infinity fan and player. I also like the anime/manga style of their art and sculpts – because I grew up watching and reading this stuff. The thing is, anime/manga was always sci-fi back then (80s). Western type fantasy wasn’t very popular with the Japanese aesthetic. I not sure how I would feel with anime/manga style fantasy? Or maybe they will go a different route altogether. I guess I will have to wait and see. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.
Unlikely, though not impossible I’ll back/buy yet another dungeoncrawl.
Pleased with announcement of retail release of the models. I’m likely getting some if they’re not going in
a very alien direction with the designs. I’d love some Corvus Belli elves and such.
Not sure about the other games. I’m glad they’re expending as I like the company, their mini’s and fluff. But, heresy as it is, I’m not a huge fan of Infinity as a game. But maybe I’ll like this better.
And if I can just get gorgeous models to play other games with, I’m perfectly happy as well.
Is that Free doing the voiceover for the video?
I bet it’s Free. Come on, fess up!
