Snap Up New Warhammer 40K Battlezone Fronteris Terrain
March 28, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop has put together a new set of terrain for you to use when diving into your games of Warhammer 40,000. Battlezone: Fronteris – Nachmund is going to be available to pre-order as a big set this weekend.
Battlezone: Fronteris - Nachmund // Warhammer 40,000
Shop Warhammer 40,000 @ Store.OnTableTop
This set comes with a whole bunch of terrain as well as two gaming boards that can be used to set it all on. You can see how it breaks down above but to give you the games, you get two STC Hab-Bunkers, six Stockades, two Stockades With Doors, a Landing Pad, Vox Antenna and an Auspex Shrine. You then get the Fronteris Battlefield Gaming Boards which are big enough for games up to 1,000 points.

The terrain from the set and the gaming boards can also be picked up separately. So, if you like the Hab-Bunker then you can just scoop that up and slot that into your tabletop terrain collection. As a whole, it seems quite modular which is always a plus. It shouldn't be too much of a hassle to paint either!
Could you be tempted to snap up one of these terrain sets to give you a basis for your Warhammer 40,000 games?

Nice terrain even if overly expensive for what those are.
Ooh very nice terrain one thing I don’t understand is none of the models is that they can’t be used beside the other terrain to form a solid defence line I think.
Nice terrain, but it deserves better than cardboard as ‘gaming board’ …
Do you think GW will ever make Xeno terrain? Like Craftworld, Commorragh, or even Tau terrain…
They have made them. Not many, and they tend to be unique to a book with rules, but they have made them. I think in the past there used to be more. I remember forests with Eldar-ish symbols…but that could have been a conversion. Tidewall Shield Line for the T’au, Big’ed Boss Bunka for the Orks (along with other junkyard stuff), Convergence of Dominion for Necrons, Webway Gate for Eldar. There is stuff out there. Imperium/Human stuff is heavily favoured, but the setting is heavily human-focused.
Don’t suppose any third parties have tried to make non Imperial terrain. like Eldar or Chaos, or maybe even a Tyranid hive.
I think TTCombat do some Eldar stuff in MDF. Also I remember @warzan was very taken with the Micro Arts Tyrannid stuff (and I’m very taken with their Tau buildings).
they made some Aldari tree sets and a webway gate
neither very inspiring
look to TT combat and others for interesting Xenos terrain
Straight forward and functional design. I liked them when they were first shown a few weeks back and happy to see this out now so quickly.
Well they look awesome.
But $220 US for terrain that wont even fully cover my board, forget it. Youre just plain crazy buying this stuff.
However I am sure it will sell, cause look 40k.
its nice but I don’t have the time to paint terrain , I barley have time to paint miniatures,
if I was to set up a proper 6 x 4 I would need a minimum of 3 of these boxes
Pretty cool. Expensive but cool terrain. Would be nice to get some angled corner pieces so you could make a hexagonal firebase or something. I think the walls leave it looking a bit blocky
Great looking set and if it were not ridiculously priced I’d buy 2 or maybe 3 boxes.
Sadly, as it’s 40 to 50 quid overpriced, I won’t be buying any.
Instead, I’ll check Etsy in a few weeks and should be able to pick up similar pieces for a fraction of the cost.
