The Sultanate Hits The High Seas For Dystopian Wars Next Month!
March 23, 2022 by brennon
Warcradle Studios has been showing off some impressive new releases for the world of Dystopian Wars! These new kits are going to be landing in April with pre-orders firing up soon. The Sultanate is on the warpath, hitting the high seas with some mighty new ships.
Anatolia Battlefleet Set // Dystopian Wars
This collection of miniatures allows you to make a powerful naval force on the tabletop. At the head of it is the Anatolia Battleship. Leaner and more advanced, the Sultanate are able to call upon a fantastic vessel to lead the way. It's more than a match for the other nations.
As well as the Anatolia Battleship, you also get two Cruisers which can be built in a variety of ways. You can use them as Iskander, Izmir, Pasha or Sadrazam Class ships. You can also combine the Cruisers to make the mighty Hurrem Grand Cruiser or a Mehmed Grand Monitor. Here's an example of how that works here...

You can also bulk things out with the four Temir Frigates which will provide an effective screen. This is a nifty new set that should be good fun to paint up. I am interested to see how people approach that. Do you go for something grand or something more subdued?
Murmansk Battlefleet Set
You can also pick up the Murmansk Battlefleet Set for Commonwealth.

At the heart of this Battlefleet Set is the powerful Murmansk Class Mobile Stronghold. It is part repair dock and part gun platform. Whatever you're using it for, it's going to be able to lay down a withering amount of firepower on the high seas and send enemy ships to the depths. It can also be built as the Tobolsk or Anastasia Class Ship.
This set also comes with all manner of additional options. You get four Frontline Cruisers (Kutsov, Oleg, Sineus, Norilsk), two Support Cruisers (Khatanga, Morozko, Pravda) and the two Stoletov Ekranoplan which will be keeping the skies safe. You can also take to the ocean with those eight Rurik Class Frigates.
Union Support Squadrons
Finally, we have the Union Support Squadrons which again offer up a variety of interesting options for you to tinker with.

It will be interesting to see how many folks start trying to find alternative ways to combat the coming of the Sultanate, especially with the ways those ships can be combined. This set above offers up some additional options with the two Union Support Cruisers (Discovery, Roanoake, California, Montgomery, Washington).
You also get some fantastic new Automata. I really like big robots and this offers this up! You can play around with four RC-52 Patriot Automata. You can already hear them buzzing across the sea, their engines whirring and guns spinning up, ready to fire.
Make sure to read more on all of these releases over on the Warcradle Blog.
What do you make of the new offerings for Dystopian Wars?
