Warlord Games has now added a bunch of awesome World War II Italians to their Bolt Action collection for you to snap up. You might even want to take to the battlefield with the Paracadutisti this time around!

After the exceptional display in the rugby over the weekend, I think everyone has got a little bit of Italian in them now. So, maybe you might find the options from the Italian Army Support Group worth snapping up for your Bolt Action armies?

This set comes with an Officer with Pistol, an Officer with SMG, a Medic, Radio Operator, MMG Team and a Medium Mortar Team. This should then work well alongside the new plastic miniatures out in the wild, allowing you to form a full Italian force or a band of Blackshirts.

Maybe you want to get a little bit more destructive? That's where the Italian Army Guastatori Destruction Group comes in.

Designed to blast things to pieces, these chaps were seen as an important addition to the Axis war effort, especially in the wake of the successful Blitzkriegs by the Germans. Inside this set, you'll find an NCO with Rifle and Pistol who is then watching over a Flamethrower Team, Engineers with Bangalore Torpedos and then three Engineers with Rifles. This means you have specialists and then soldiers to watch over them whilst they work.

The Italian Paracadutisti

You can also call on the efforts of the Italian Paracadutisti in your World War II Italian army. There is a new Support Group Pack available that can get you started.

Whilst most would say that the Italians were somewhat of a pushover compared against the Germans, you could not say the same for these fighters. They were battle-hardened and well-respected. At El Alamein, the Folgore repelled the British for weeks.

They fought until the last round was fired and would undertake near-suicidal charges against armoured vehicles rather than surrender. They weren't opposed to a bayonet charge either! This set comes with two Officers with SMG, an NCO with SMG, a Radio Operator, an MMG Team and a Medium Mortar Team. All you'd need to get up close and personal.

The Paracadutisti are then supported by two Infantry Sections. A great way to form a specialised and elite Italian army.

There are nine figures in each of these sets. An NCO leads the way alongside a band of soldiers with SMGs. You also get a soldier with a Carbine and a two-man LMG team. Pick up both of these so that you can mix and match the core troops in your army.
