A whole bunch of new releases are coming this weekend for the Asuryani/Aeldari of Warhammer 40,000 this week. Games Workshop are going to be firing up pre-orders for more of the miniatures previewed earlier this year.

Avatar Of Khaine - Warhammer 40000 MARCH

The Avatar Of Khaine leads the way. This is quite the "glow up" from the existing Avatar Of Khaine miniature. The Avatar has grown in stature and is now even more fearsome than he was before. I really like the Avatar, especially as it adds an edge to the normally quite prim and proper Aeldari. It's all very civilised until the molten statue comes to life and starts killing everyone.

The Avatar Of Khaine comes with all manner of accessories including different head options and variants on the Wailing Doom. You can use it as a sword, axe or spear depending on what works for you.

The second of the characters that you're going to be able to get your hands on is the new plastic Autarch. This miniature was previously available in the boxed game released a few weeks ago.

Autarch - Warhammer 40000 MARCH

Autarch // Warhammer 40,000

The version of the Autarch in the Codex doesn't come with all of the options that should be available to them. You'll want to download the updated Datasheet from Warhammer Community to be able to use everything that the Autarch can use, especially when combined with the older plastic kit.

New Aeldari Rangers

As well as the HQ options, you will also be able to pick up the rest of the miniatures from the Eldritch Omens collection. The Rangers can now be scooped up...

...and also the Shroud Runners which are effectively Rangers on the back of awesome jetbikes. Whilst I really enjoyed painting the Rangers, I'm not overly sold on the Shroud Runners. I think it's because that would mean I would have to paint something akin to a vehicle.

This is good for those who managed to hold off on buying Eldritch Omens. Now you can just buy the bits you need individually and start adding them to your force. So far, so good when it comes to the new miniatures for the Aeldari.

New Shining Spears

Keeping with the idea of jetbikes, we also have some revamped Aspect Warriors. The Shining Spears are soaring onto the battlefield with their immensely powerful lances.

There are helmeted and unhelmeted options in the kit as well as options for making the Exarch of the squad. It is really nice to see the Shining Spears getting the love that they deserve. I really hope that the Swooping Hawks get the same care and attention! I would "swoop in" (hah) and pick those up in a heartbeat.

Combat Patrol: Aeldari

You will also be able to get your hands on the new Combat Patrol for the Aeldari!

This comes with a Farseer, the new Aeldari Guardian Defenders (can also be built as Storm Guardians), six Jetbikes and a Wraithlord. This should work quite nicely for a variety of Craftworlds but I think that it leans more towards the fast and deadly Saim-Hann. A pretty good option for those starting out in Warhammer 40,000.

Mission Pack: Tempest Of War

As well as the new Aeldari, you can also pick up a new card pack this weekend. Here we have the Tempest Of War set...

Much like the Open War pack, this set comes with decks of cards for quickly generating matched play games on the tabletop. It comes with cards for deployment, primary objectives, secondary objectives and special rules for theming your games. This should be good for Incursion and Strike Force games.

Some great new options for those playing as Aeldari and wanting to make setting up their games a little easier.

Are you tempted to snap these pre-orders up?
