Weekender starts now! although mine started last Friday and hasn’t ended yet
I gotta say – how you look at all the links AND talk…mind blown haha
it’s like a swan up top it’s all calm but under the water line I’m clicking every button and mouse wheeling like a lunatic
It’s his UHH training kicking in
Nein mein Herr!
Good evening all!
First , yes, first again
You may be the first to say first, but technically I think I was first. Unless first is third after @avernos and @brennon or unless first is fourth in terms or comments. Nonetheless you are not first even tho you’re a supreme tactical genius @tacticalgenius… and may think you are first… when you are not… ???
Justin’s beard is magnificent. It might be the larper in me, but that beard would go well with some plate armour. It’s the perfect paladin beard. Get armoured up mate.
Spring clean challenge?
*looks at the Angron I just painted that’s been sitting in a box for 9 years*
Crap! Jumped the gun there.
Have to agree that’s an impeccable beard ?
Did someone unplug the intro
Happy weekender all and to all a happy weekender. I’m putting aside the wonderful wars of Ozz while I dive into A Very British Civil War thanks to Solway minis and the splendid chaps at footsore. Thinking a few additions from Wargames Atlantic are on the cards although I’m torn between King Roberts Jacobites or the Welsh Collier militias. There are far too many cracking factions. My plans are currently bigger than my budget ?
I really liked the Original Witchfire Trilogy. Unlikely to start playing WarmaHordes again but a trip back to Western Immoren with a bit of Roleplay.
It all certainly sounds like it could be a lot of fun!
It’s the Weekender. Hurrah!!!! I’m excited for the up coming New ***INFINITY WEEK*** Love the Iron Kingdom setting. I have four armies of Warmachine and many codex books from MkI though current, and the original RPG books plus novels. Alas, I know of no one in my area that still plays. I have taught my wife to play, (she chose Retribution of Scyrah, of course as I hadn’t bought into it, had to buy those minis which are hers ONLY. She told me, “No touch”.). I will probably buy the 5e stuff but I still love the original stuff. Dang-it… Read more »
Those Hammer Knights are all kinds of badass
Although Infinity has some nice sculpts for their minis… I hate the dayglo scenery that they make for it. It looks like something that they’d use to decorate the set of a kids TV show… too many bright colours.
Selecting a printer for me was looking at something within my price range, then watching reviews on youtube. Particularly looking at how you setup the printer and how it operates. I picked a Creality LH-002H which needs very little prep to get going. It’s not the best around, but it was affordable for me, and was on sale when I bought it. Some cracking printers out there for around £200 which are better than what I have now.
Thanks for your insight!
I’ve been doing much of this but was wondering if I was missing some extra nugget of info.
Good to know I’m on the right track.
Gawds. Spring is here. I guess I should start with the incomplete projects from the previous two springs.
Happy weekend,
except for @ben! Fuck @ben, he knows what he did. He doesnt get to watch the greatest movie ever made.
Iron Kingdoms is probably the WORST campaign setting, or one of them. Because it’s steampunk and thus it is, by definition, awful.
But it’s steampunk with fantasy elements. So we will have to agree to disagree 🙂
YES for the weekender.
it puts the primer on the model or it get’s the homework again?

the Bugs controlling the figures remind me of the one from Dr Who.
the penitent crusade looks kinda Silent Hill-ish.
fantastic figures this week guys, don’t forget a bucket in case they don’t like the chocolate Justin.
From what I understand, Warmachine/Hordes is in decline… combo of bad decisions by PP and GW making some better ones regarding AoS. Don’t think covid helped either. Personally I think the PP setting is much more interesting with memorable characters throughout the armies, not just the leaders… but also the solo and attachments. And you can build some varied armies with some amazing creatures in them (Hordes obviously). I makes for a good RPG setting too although warjacks could be unbalancing… but like giving a high level fighter/wizard a golem to protect him. Although if that is unbalanced… it might… Read more »
There are certainly some fun ways you could take it. I like the idea of something 1 v 1 especially if you and a friend swap DM duty every so often.
Iron Kingdoms is looking very interesting.
Not that I have time for another evening to be taken up.
The curse of real life!
Happy Saturday.
Good video, Creative Sculpt Studio looks like it has some pretty cool old school miniatures.
I prefer the hand sculpted look, although a lot of it depends on the miniature. I do find a lot of GWs miniatures lack texture with a plasticy look, particularly fabric surfaces, even when painted.
Looking forward to the live stream, turns out I can watch it live.
Really like the look of that pre-coloured terrain by Micro Art
A weekender and a giveaway special, your spoiling us
15 points Justin, only 15 points
What weird feature… having names on screen… Also: why is it Sunday already?
Great show folks 🙂
Beastiarum looks lovely and twisted.
For those of you without a 3D printer, like myself, I know that Zealot miniatures can print that range for you.
https://zealotminiatures.com/product-category/fantasy/bestiarum-miniatures/
They also make fantastic minis in their own right too.
proper lovely models
