Telltale Release Their New Game Of Thrones Story Game!
December 3, 2014 by brennon
Telltale Games have worked on some impressive titles and earned themselves quite the reputation as storytellers. Their latest project, Game of Thrones: Iron From Ice, follows in the wake of The Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands and it's looking impressive...
The game puts you in the boots of Gared Tuttle, a squire to a previously unknown House, and your story begins outside The Twins. I won't spoil anything for you about the story as it really does have to be enjoyed on your own terms but things go downhill in typical Game of Thrones style.
As well as a whole host of new characters and voice actors from House Forrester (who incidentally provide the Ironwood for House Stark, to show their allegiance to you) there are some familiar faces popping up too including Ramsey Snow, Cersei Lannister and Tyrion Lannister. I'm sure more will pop up in time too!
Keep an eye on this one if you like games with plenty of storytelling and decision making as Telltale know exactly what they're doing when it comes to this genre now.
Will you be playing it?
I enjoyed their Walking Dead games. Will definitely be trying this one.
For what it is worth, Eurogamer has already reviewed it (no score given, because that’s their policy when it comes to these episodic games).

Opinions and all that, but it does raise some interesting points.
Should I note that timewise, I believe this game takes place on the the night of an infamous event in Season 3, and the review does indicate that the game will carry on into events in Season 4? Needless to say, if you haven’t watched all of Season 3, then it might be worthwhile waiting.
Interesting points raised. I’m watching a Youtuber player it as my poor laptop won’t be able to give this game the time of day let alone play it. Either way I’m looking forward to seeing how it unfolds and I have hope for it as a series.
They’ve done such a good job with Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands that I reckon they’ll carry this. A few stumbling steps at the beginning maybe.
But yes – deffo don’t play this until you’ve watched Game of Thrones as it stands and/or read the books.
