This has been a bugbear of mine for the longest time. I’ve never painted glasses well. Earlier I was window shopping more Silver Bayonet and noticed the Prussian team.

There are a couple of minis with glasses and a third with a monocle. The painter (I’d guess Kevin Dallimore) has done an amazing job with a jewel effect with the skin tones of the faces. I’ll be trying to emulate this next time I’m painting a mini with glasses.

Ah not Mr Dallimore (though his is ruddy marvellous too). I don’t have the Prussian Bayonet Crew but there’s a French Resistancist just there *points* I’ll try it on.

I’ve still got my Prussians to paint. I’ll have to have a think about this too. There’s always the jar of Dettol for when it goes badly wrong.
