Dungeon Bowl by taochi

We start off with some Dungeon Bowl and Blood Bowl goodness. taochi has been working away on a couple of teams to use in Dungeon Bowl, the fun spin-off to this Fantasy Football game. We've seen some Dark Elves and Dwarfs popping up recently.

Dungeon Bowl #1 by taochi

I really like the painting on these which matches the different Colleges Of Magic from Dungeon Bowl. The pale skin works really nicely alongside the dark leather armour of these Dark Elves. The bloody heart also offers up a neat focal point for the eye to be drawn to.

The Elves are the team are also looking great...

Dungeon Bowl #2 by taochi

I nice looking paint job, especially with the addition of the tattered green lizard skin. The flagstone-based milliput and greenstuff bases also work very nicely to start bringing the Dungeon Bowl theme to life.

You also have the distinctly different Dwarfs that have been added into the mix for the College Of Fire. I love the mix of oranges, yellows and reds here.

Dungeon Bowl #3 by taochi

You would have thought that this would all look very similar but I think the shading here has come together nicely and has been highlighted up well too. The metallics help to break things up too, especially with the addition of elements like the gems.

You should certainly check out the project linked above for more of this burgeoning Dungeon Bowl collection.

Burrows & Badgers by lukeprior1

lukeprior1 has a similar love of Burrows & Badgers to me and has been diving into this amazing miniatures collection recently. That means some awesome miniatures which have been painted nicely and come with a little bit of backstory.

Burrows & Badgers #1 by lukeprior1

We start with Sir Warren Of Warzan, a fantastic Hare Knight who has been painted up in stunning white and red armour. I think this seems like a fitting leader for a new Burrows & Badgers warband.

We also have this massive Beaver, one of the miniatures that I like quite a lot. It is HUGE and is also a really fun miniature to paint. I love working on fur with these miniatures as it's very satisfying and easy to make look great.

Burrows & Badgers #2 by lukeprior1

The last of the three that I have picked out from this particular set of miniatures is this cunning fox. Maybe they are from cunningham universe and have a degree in cunning?

Burrows & Badgers #3 by lukeprior1

I really like that lukeprior1 used the pose of the miniature to inform the way the base was designed. The tall reeds and grasses work nicely alongside the miniature and provide a narrative to the figure. You could really see this fellow being particularly roughish and skulking around in the shadows.

Space Marine & Epic by hazyboy75

Lastly, we're looking to hazyboy75 who has been working away on some amazing small-scale miniatures for playing out good ol' Epic on the tabletop. The focus has recently been on painting up some authentic old miniatures and some newer 3D printed options too.

Space Marine & Epic #2 by hazyboy75

The Warp Sharks were the Space Marine Chapter of choice, an invention by hazyboy75 himself. The scheme is nice and easy to paint with grey being accented by a bright blue. I think it looks very distinct and pops on the tabletop, especially with the depth added by washes and speed paints.

This fellow is also a man after my own heart who loves Iyaden. So, that's where the Eldar were taken as an opposing army for the Space Marines to fight against.

Space Marine & Epic #3 by hazyboy75

I think this scheme looks incredibly striking and would be a fantastic sight to see on the tabletop. I am very interested to see what the basing for this army is going to end up looking like too. I also like the very quick and easy camouflage used on the tanks, it is very effective!

Space Marine serves as the inspiration for this project as it grows and changes. So, there are plenty of fun things yet to come.

Space Marine & Epic #1 by hazyboy75

Orks are also in the works and should be coming up soon alongside some other armies too. I think it will be neat to see some more of the towering miniatures popping up in this project. There are also some fun 28mm miniatures in this collection too. Make some time to check out this project and see if it gives you some inspiration for your own projects!
