Para Bellum Wargames has noted that the rules for playing as the Old Dominion in Conquest are going to become available on 3rd March! Not long to go!

Old Dominion Art - Para Bellum Wargames

Old Dominion Art // Para Bellum Wargames

The news of the upcoming rules came alongside this amazing piece of artwork showing off this macabre army and its characters in all their glory. I love the "walking reliquary" feel to the army and the strange undead feel that they are bringing to the tabletop. I can't wait to see more of the miniatures for this army.

The folks at Para Bellum Wargames also teased one of the special rules for the Old Dominion...

ANIMATE VESSELS

All Regiments and Character Stands in the Army with the “Animate Vessels” Special Rule gain the Terrifying (1) Special Rule and may not perform an Inspire Action. However, Regiments receive the benefits of Inspiration when completing a successful Charge or from any other Special Rules that would allow them to count as Inspired.

In addition, Regiments with the Animate Vessels Special Rule do not have a Resolve Characteristic and are always considered as if they have passed any Morale or Resolve Characteristic Test. A Character Stand with the Animate Vessel Special Rule does not confer their Resolve Characteristic to the Regiment they are attached to.

However, Regiments with this Special Rule may still be Broken and/or Shattered as a result of casualties as their formation collapses and soldiers are cut down individually.

Are you going to be checking out the Old Dominion when they pop up for the world of Conquest? They certainly seem like they could be a fun army to dive into, especially with the additional twists that Para Bellum Wargames add to traditional Fantasy armies.

Watch out for more Old Dominion goodness in the near future!
