Games Workshop has dropped more previews for the upcoming Kill Team: Nachmund set, expanding the skirmish options for Warhammer 40,000. The Corsairs are going to be coming up against a band of deadly Chaos Space Marines.

Chaos Space Marine Kill Team #1 - Warhammer 40000

This offers up a selection of more specialised Chaos Space Marines that provide you with a good entry point into Kill Team. There are all manner of different weapons available to the various villains you can bring to the tabletop ranging from the humble Boltgun through to warp-touched blades blessed by the dark gods.

Chaos Space Marine Kill Team #2 - Warhammer 40000

I have always liked the aesthetic of the Chaos Space Marines. I don't like all of the painting you have to do when it comes to their armour but beyond that, it's awesome. Who wouldn't want to have leg armour with screaming visages on it?

As well as some more traditional Chaos Space Marines, there is also a selection of more mutated and twisted additions to this Kill Team.

Chaos Space Marine Kill Team #3 - Warhammer 40000

Deadly claws that look like they could carve through even the most well-designed power armour and cruel daggers make for perfect weapons for these warriors. I like all of the little touches that twist and change things here to give each of them a personality. It makes a big difference from the cookie-cutter Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes.

If you want to throw some heavier weapons into the mix then you also have a bloomin' Reaper Chaincannon!

Chaos Space Marine Kill Team #4 - Warhammer 40000

Now that is going to be impressive when it starts spinning up. I like these elements that start to offer up a glimpse into the more cinematic moments that you can get when playing out smaller-scale games. You could imagine this grim-faced fellow firing his gun and absolutely shredding the terrain around some hunkering Corsair.

A touch of the warp has also manifested itself in the psychic powers of the Balefire Acolyte!

Chaos Space Marine Kill Team #5 - Warhammer 40000

There are some impressive miniatures in this Kill Team that I'm sure a lot of Chaos Space Marine players will enjoy. There have also been some hints that this might be the start of some Chaos Space Marines actually getting the two wounds that people have been obsessed about for so long (obviously in normal Warhammer 40,000).

Kill Team: Nachmund Boxed Set

These Chaos Space Marines are then joined by the Corsair Voidscarred as part of Kill Team: Nachmund.

Kill Team: Nachmund // Warhammer 40,000

This set features the Aeldari, the Chaos Space Marines and also a big bunch of Sector Mechanicus terrain. Things are certainly going down deep within War Zone Nachmund. The Nachmund set also comes with expanded rules for playing amongst this Sector Mechanicus terrain. Underground exploration and more awaits with those hatches!

Pre-orders for Kill Team: Nachmund are going to be available very soon. I would imagine that it should be coming up shortly after the pre-orders for the new Aeldari Codex this weekend.  Are you going to be diving in and checking out this set when it lands? Could you be tempted by the Chaos Space Marines from this set?

Let me know in the comments below!
