Ironheart Soars With Versatility Into Marvel Champions
February 21, 2022 by fcostin
Look to the skies, as Riri Williams is soaring into Marvel Champions: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games. Ironheart will be equipping her advanced armour for some justice-filled takedowns to rid the world of horrors in the upcoming Ironheart Hero Pack.
Ironheart Hero Pack // Marvel Champions
Sadly Riri Williams hasn't exactly had an awesome life prior to her role as Ironheart - like most superheroes! This super-genius has reverse-engineered Tony Stark's Iron Man suit to build her own weapon of mass destruction. Hoping to rid the world of the horrors she endured due to negligent and reckless crime - she's stepping up to be the newest addition to your decks for Marvel Champions.
Ironheart will come with a pre-build Leadership deck, with 15 new cards in the pack. Ready for her intense defence to take root in a battle against foes. Including three identity cards, making her playstyle incredibly unique.
Card Preview // Ironheart Hero Pack
Riri Williams will have the chance to level up throughout the scenario, as it features three stages of her progression to becoming the ungodly hero Ironheart. Seeing her find her way through different versions of her suit, to which players will witness in strength and abilities grow. The scenario will build Riri through a process of gaining more resources til she teaches her final and ridiculously powerful MK3.
Having progressive access to a growing arsenal of weapons - Ironheart has many a method to raking in those counters. As the feeling of suiting up will provide Ironheart complete access to the full scope of weapons and takedowns once fully upgraded permanently. Including 'New and Improved' and 'Photon Blasters' to shock and ruin an incoming enemy.
Synergise Card Options // Ironheart Hero Pack
Ironheart plays well with others too. Given the pre-build leadership deck, she can synergize with the likes of Falcon and Patriot to rack up preparation. Take a stance to protect allies with 'Go For Champions', or simply flatten the enemy by filling any particular role that you need. She is versatile, she is strong - but she is going to take some love and effort into her suit before she can wreck and ruin on the table.
A very different playstyle with Ironheart, which looks to be nasty in the hands of the right player! Ironheart is now available to be pre-ordered at your FLGS and online, ready for release in May.
She seems more than equipped to team up and take on the Sinister Six in the new expansion, Sinister Motives. What do you think of Ironheart?
