Sustain Your Species In A Perilous Universe In Last Light
February 17, 2022 by fcostin
Heading into space is something that I find absolutely fascinating, especially when the game is attached to the 4X subgenre. Are you ready to explore, expand, exploit and exterminate in under an hour?
Last Light brings the fast-paced strategy involved in 4X systems, however cuts the time down due to the simultaneous movement of the players all working for one competitive goal.
Last Light - Coming to Crowdfunding 2022 Q1 // Grey Fox Games
Heading out into space, players will take the role of a faction in hopes of growing and building their own empire and flourishing civilisation. 2-4 players will need to head out to different planets to grow their alien society, whether this is searching and mining for resources or thrust into the future with new technologies - in hopes of gathering light before the universe sees its end.
Last Light // Grey Fox Games
Players will play their actions each turn simultaneously, where they will make the decisions best for their factions across the rotating board. As they push their fleet into new territories, all players will race to the middle where the white dwarf resides to rack in light to ultimately survive the end of days. Whatever player manages to gather 20 light in the game will be crowned the champion.
The game is now in preview stages on Gamefound, and the official website is hinting that it is "coming soon". I personally love the planet miniatures as a visual - and am keen on seeing how this campaign plays out.
