Stunning New Corsair Voidscarred For Warhammer 40K: Kill Team!
February 8, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop dropped another big Aeldari preview for Warhammer 40,000 this week. The Corsair Voidscarred were one of the highlights of the first Warhammer Preview for 2022 and it's awesome that we got a closer look at these Sci-Fi miniatures!

The Corsair Voidscarred don't ally themselves with the forces of the Asuryani or the Drukhari. Instead, they use their sleek and deadly Aeldari ships to launch raids against other ships in the void. They take what they want and live the pirate life amongst the stars.
As is the case with the previous released Kill Teams, this Corsair crew will feature a set of very individual and customisable miniatures for use during your games.
Each of these Corsairs is going to feel like an individual, armed with all manner of different pieces of equipment. Perhaps you want to rock the dual pistol look? Maybe you're a bit more of a psyker? Do you reckon you'd want to carry around a portable D-Cannon instead? They have you covered.
I really like how diverse and interesting this set of miniatures is. Much like with the Death Korps and the Ork Kommandos, the models in these particular sets seem like the go-to option when it comes to playing Kill Team. Sure, you can make one from the models in your collection but these are all a lot more specialised.
I was particularly taken by this fellow with not one, not two but four daggers to hand. Maybe he has been taking some tips from Vax'ildan.
The real question is how do you approach painting these? You could go for something that aligns with your Craftworld of choice but I reckon making them all feel individualistic is the way forward. I was immediately thinking about how amazing these would look in pinks and purples!
Imagine these miniatures with deep pink armour and big purple cloaks flowing around them. Add some shocking green and blue hair and you'd have an excellent Kill Team!
As well as being available as part of a new Kill Team: Nachmund boxed set, the Corsair Voidscarred are also going to have rules in Warhammer 40,000 too. I could see a lot of people picking these up just to use in their expanded Aeldari armies.
There should also be rules for making them a bigger thing in your games too. I like the idea of using them as the basis for a new Exodite force on the tabletop. You could easily do some kitbashing here to turn them into dinosaur-riding outcasts.
Some stunning new miniatures for Aeldari fans!

I’m not sure.
There’s plenty I like. Bit darker craftworld feel, bit of the old rogue trader feel.
Probably a bit to much dark eldar to my taste. I never liked those.
It does make sense they look like this. Maybe they’ll grow on me.
Maybe they just need the right paintjob. I’ve noticed the community is often better at making a model shine than GW is itself.
Yeah, I would go a bit further with that.
I think the models don’t look all that Dark Eldarish, but the color scheme they chose is very Dark Eldar.
There are many ways for this color scheme to reshape these minis.
Maybe G’Wullu should have parsed that name through a few languages….
Nachmund…. “After Mouth” or “Post Mouth” …. *sigh*
I quite like them but would’ve expected more of a mixed fabrics look, rather than full, Craftworld style carapace. It would’ve given them more of a piratical, outcast vibe IMO. They feel like guardians with capes and webbing added as a bit of an after thought.
Why does one look like it is trying to sell soul stones to passers by?
Those look really good.
Nice to see them revealed and pretty much as I expected them. They are exactly what they say they are. My only hope is that there might be helmeted options for all. Not too keen on having to paint bare heads.
Nice eldary.
Its great GW makes miniatures for Stargrave.
